德國薩克森邦（Saxony）科研訪團於4月18至21日訪臺，由薩邦學術、文化暨旅遊廳廳長 Sebastian Gemkow率團，成員包括德勒斯登科技大學校長Ursula M. Staudinger、曾任德國教育研究部（BMBF）常務次長Wolf-Dieter Lukas與學術處長Herbert Zeisel、及德國弗勞恩霍夫研究協會光子微系統研究所（Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems, IPMS）研發顧問與研究員等一行10人。這是國科會與德國聯邦教育研究部（BMBF）於今（2023）年3月21日簽訂科技合作協議（STA）後，第一個訪台的德國重要科研訪團。
全球迫切需求高速運算晶片，國立成功大學材料系陳貞夙教授研究團隊與達姆工大材料系Lambert Alff 教授（音譯：藍伯特·艾福）研究團隊今（17）日上午，在成大勝利校區未來館簽署「國際聯合實驗室（IJRLs）」合作意向，將致力結合台德兩校電子材料及仿神經型態運算研究量能，發展可應用在高效能運算 AI 晶片的新穎材料，共同開啟後摩爾世代人工智慧積體電路的新篇章。
