Graduate schools are particularly popular with foreign students as they are usually interdisciplinary courses taught in English. On the other hand many students are hesitant to personally contact a professor and present their own research project.

In order to support Taiwanese students in their search for a suitable Ph.D. program in Germany, the DAAD, in cooperation with the Taiwanese National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), is organizing an information event on all aspects of the Ph.D. Studies in Germany. On October 22, 2022 between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., representatives of scholarship organizations and Germany alumni will explain questions about doctoral studies in Germany in comprehensive presentations on scholarships and funding opportunities from German and Taiwanese institutions.
