TAIWAN – GERMANY SCIENCE DAY 2017

Im Dezember diesen Jahres findet anläßlich des 20-jährigen Bestehens des sehr erfolgreichen PPP-Austauschprogrammes von DAAD und MoST eine taiwanisch-deutsche akademische Großveranstaltung statt: Der GERMAN-TAIWAN SCIENCE DAY 2017 wird vom Deutsche Institut Taipei zusammen mit dem DAAD IC Taipei und dem taiwanischen Ministry for Science and Technology (MoST) am 11.12.2017 an der TaiwanTech veranstaltet.

Neben allgemeinen Vorträgen über die Wissenschaftslandschaften in beiden Ländern und Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten für Forschungsprojekte werden vor allem die bilateralen Projektberichte im Mittelpunkt stehen. Zielsetzung der Veranstaltung ist es vor allem, neue Wissenschaftskooperationen zwischen Deutschland und Taiwan anzubahnen und bestehende Kooperationen zu festigen. Erwartet werden über 100 Teilnehmer aus Wissenschaft und Forschung in Taiwan, wobei auch insbesondere Nachwuchswissenschaftler angesprochen werden.

Akademische Schwerpunkte der eingeladenen deutschen und taiwanischen Sprecher sind Complex Phase Materials, Battery Research, Marine Biology, Geology, Climate Research, Ocean and Coastal Engineering und Computer Engineering. Taiwanische Wissenschaftler können sich hier für die Teilnahme bei der Veranstaltung anmelden.
