The DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service)

is the largest funding organisation in the world supporting the international exchange of students and scholars. Since it was founded in 1925, more than 1.5 million scholars in Germany and abroad have received DAAD funding. It is a registered association and its members are German institutions of higher education and student bodies.  It maintains contact with and provides advice to its main partner countries on every continent via a network of 14 regional offices and 50 information centres.

The DAAD Information Centre Taipei

is one of 51 DAAD Information Centers worldwide. Established in 2000, we have been providing comprehensive and free service to all those who are interested in study and research in Germany.

We provide information and counseling on

  • admission requirements of German universities
  • DAAD scholarships programs
  • University partnerships and research cooperation

On request, we offer information seminars on “Study and research in Germany” at Taiwanese universities and research institutions.

We closely cooperate with European partner institutions in Taipei in the organization of the Annual European Education Fair (EEFT) in November every year in Taiwan. Established in 2001, the EEFT organizing committee since has a non-profit objective and is solely devoted to the promotion of studying opportunities in European countries.
